ghost in the machine?

there seem to have been some strange issues with the database powering this site in the last few days. all seems to be back to normal, thanks to the hard work put in by the support team at my host, nsdesign.

great job guys, it's all back to normal, by the look of it. a few image references need to be popped back in for most of the entries in the experiments section, but that's about it.
